We are bringing back our workshop led by Efe Çakır, focusing on electronic circuit design, synthesizer building, and instrument development. A new class will be formed for this event. Participation is limited.
The topic of this workshop is the construction of a 4-oscillator analog drone synthesizer from scratch. The session will begin at 11:00 AM on Sunday, December 1 and will last approximately 5–6 hours.
All PCBs and electronic components of the synthesizer shown in the photo will be fully provided and included in the workshop fee. You don’t need to bring anything with you — soldering iron, solder, flux, speaker, battery, and other required materials will all be supplied by us.
If you’ve done soldering a few times before, this workshop is perfect for you. At the end of the session, the synthesizer you’ve assembled will be yours to keep. At the beginning of the class, all components will be distributed along with schematics and some notes about the synthesizer.
We'll begin with foundational topics such as:
 “What is electricity?”, “Basic knowledge of the components used”, and “How to read a schematic.”
Then, step-by-step, we’ll explore each part of the synthesizer:
 “What is an oscillator?”, “What is a VCA?” — gradually building up your understanding of each function.
By the end of the class, we’ll all be playing our handmade synthesizers together.
