Sampling and Granular Synthesis Techniques Workshop
In my studio, using my own equipment, we will deeply explore the use of samples and granular synthesis techniques in electronic music. In this intensive four-hour program, we will cover many important topics step-by-step, from the basic concepts of sampling to advanced sample manipulation. Additionally, we will work with various analog and digital tools, primarily Ableton Live, to examine both technical and creative processes together.
Granular synthesis has become very popular among producers in recent years. The digital fragmentation and reconstruction of sounds is widely used in areas ranging from film scores to experimental electronic music. This workshop will be highly beneficial not only for musicians but also for sound engineers, sound designers, foley artists, and filmmakers. It offers both a creative and technical perspective, appealing to a broad range of applications.
Workflow: Ableton Live & Analog Equipment
In this workshop, we will select sounds from different sources (organic and synthetic) and create unique sounds using one-shot and loop samples, granular synthesis applications, sample-based FM synthesis, and multisampling techniques.
